Alejandro Wigberto Bueno Lopez (born September 6, 1963) professionally known as Alex Bueno is a Latin merengue singer, songwriter and guitarist from the Dominican Republic. Alex Bueno began singing during the mid 70s. In 1979 Alex joined Gerardo Vera’s All-Stars and a few years after in 1982 together they formed the tropical merengue act “Orquesta Liberación” singing along with Andrés de Jesus. During the mid 80s, Alex emerged and proclaimed by music critics and fans alike as a great merengue singer. Finally, in 1990 Alex got a top hit, “Jardin Prohibido” becoming one of the most popular hit songs throughout Latin America. Just recently, the merengue legend signed a Publishing, Digital Distribution and Management record deal with Pentagrama Group and Solo E Group.
